we only use the highest quality selected
cowhide for our garments and accessories. finding this is sometimes
no mean feat in south Africa, but we remain committed to maintaining
the highest levels of quality.
chrome tanned nappa in appropriate weights are used for all clothing
and lining of bondage gear. full vegetable tanned hides are used
for the base of all bondage gear.
leather is a natural material and therefore may have small marks
and scratches. this part of the character of the material and proof
that it is genuine aniline dyed hide - and not a coated product
like that used on kids' school shoes.
leather will last a lifetime if properly cared for:
regular cleaning maintains the shape and texture of your leather,
as well as making it look good
do not use strong detergents or washing powder to clean your
leather. plain warm water is best. use a little baby shampoo or
a drop of dishwashing liquid to tackle difficult stains. we use
"saddle soap" - obtainable from tack shops (saddleries)
and some hardware stores
use a suitable leather conditioner after cleaning. you should
be able to find "Lexol" or "Wynn's Leather Creme"
at any supermarket. we use "Neatsfoot Oil" (also from
tack shops etc.) to treat all items after assembly
